The History of
Carolina International Trucks
Richard Ryan became the
dealer principle of Carolina International Trucks on April
1, 1993. Mr. Ryan moved to Columbia from the International
corporate office in Chicago, IL after 23 years of working
for International in various positions and locations.
Originally, CIT had only 4 locations in Columbia, Charleston,
Greenville, and Asheville. Since 1992, Carolina
International Trucks has grown to 6 locations statewide. A 9
time International Circle of Excellence Award winner,
awarded to prominent dealers across U.S., Mexico and Canada
for achieving the highest levels of sales and customer
service.
Recently, CIT was named the
2003 International Dealer of the Year. This prestigious
honor is awarded to one dealer from the company's network of
over 400 dealers in North American who exhibits the highest
commitment to delivering best in class customer service.
Currently, Carolina International Trucks stands as one of
the predominant truck dealerships in the Southeast, and the
nation. A title earned through the hard work of management
and over 250 employees currently working at CIT. We strive
for service and customer satisfaction that will keep our
customers coming back, because at Carolina International,
the sale is just the beginning.
