Carolina International Trucks & Idealease Names Jason Bell, Leasing Director
Columbia, SC—July 6, 2021—Carolina International Trucks, the largest commercial truck dealership in South Carolina, is pleased to announce the hiring of Jason Bell to the position of Leasing Director. In his new role, Bell will be responsible for the Service, Sales and Rental departments in the Leasing Division, with locations in Columbia, Greenville, Charleston and Florence, SC. Bell will help drive company culture, improve customer satisfaction, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Bell has more than 19 years of truck leasing and logistics management experience. He began his career at Penske Truck Leasing in 2002 as a Management Trainee, then progressed through the positions of Branch Rental Manager and then District Rental Manager. In 2008, Bell transitioned to the customer side of the business to help lead a Tanker terminal with Eagle Transport in Charlotte, NC. After four years in the fuel hauling business, he moved over to building materials and managed fleets of up to 140 trucks & $30 million transportation spend with Oldcastle and most recently Meridian Brick. In his current role at Carolina International and Idealease, Bell is focused on increasing customer uptime while managing three service locations cost effectively.
Bell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Western Washington University. Jason is Six Sigma Green Belt certified and has attended multiple leadership conferences, most notably the National Tank & Truck Council Leadership Course at Purdue University. He and his wife, Anne, live in Columbia, South Carolina.
